Is Love, more than Love?

My half sister told me once “there’s a lot more to love than just love, Katie.” At 17, what does that really mean? Nothing. But now, being 24 and 322 days away from my own Marriage, I think I know what shes saying.

I spend a lot of time with my Fiance, Jesse. We do everything together. He’s my fix-it- Man, My I’ve had such a hard day please listen to it- Man, My I’m so hungry go eat with me- Man, My sit in the waiting room at the doctors office- Man, My which earings look best with this dress- Man. My Comfort. My Heart. My Soul.

What a Love, a Marriage needs to be made up of {in my opinion} is God, Trust, Communication.

And that trio is not always easy.

However, I have the most understanding man. When I have something to say he listens – I can’t even explain how happy that makes me. Granted if we are driving along the highway and I ask him something while he is on his blackberry, deep in email, the response is not ever so quick. But if it’s important, and he always knows when it is, he listens. I cannot ask for more than that.

Jess, I dont know if you read this blog {b/c I think I said you were not allowed;-) } but if you do, I want to thank you for being such a great listener, and friend. I Love You and I Always Will.

Blog City.

A personal blog is the new facebook/myspace/life journal. It’s really incredible. People blog about EVERYTHING – Weddings , Life, Buisness, Photographs, Design – EVERYTHING. Since I am just begining my Blogging journey I certainly haven’t found all the best blogs out there but here are some of my favs.

First and foremost – www.JovannaGomez.com - Bridesmaid Jovanna started a blog, oh geez, long time ago. She blogs about life. Her life. Which is pretty interesting. Not to mention she is a great writer, always has been, so it’s a great read.

A wedding blog inspiration of mine is Snippet and Ink Kathryn, the producer, if you will, puts together beautiful inspiration boards for every style and color for a wedding. She also has “discount days” where she shares information about discounts and freebee’s for the week.

Another great wedding blog is The Bride’s Cafe. Since wedding goodness is my flavor of the year I concentrate mostly on wedding blogs.

My Fantastic Wedding Planner just announced her new blog - NK Productions Blog. It is primarily pictures right now..She was featured in Sarasota’s Magazine as a guest editor. Way to go Nicole!

Dress Shopping

So TOMORROW I am going to shop for A WEDDING DRESS! This is such a big deal, I’m kinda freaking out. I’m afraid if I find it too early I won’t like it all the way until the wedding. Is that weird? On the flip side, if this doesn’t go well, at least I’m starting early.

My sister/ Maid of Honor is coming in town from the West Palm area to go shopping with my Mom and I. I am really happy to have them for this first dress shopping experience.

I have made appointments at 2 places around here in Sarasota. The morning appointment is with Sarasota Brides & The Karis Collection, the afternoon appointment is with a new bridal shop in town Elaines Bridal Boutique. If we really start getting going I have researched bridal shops in St. Pete (about 45 minutes away – north) and Ft. Myers (about 1 hour 15 min away – south) that we could drive our happy little wedding behinds to =).
